Mumbai, 22 February – The Kasturba Marg police in Mumbai have registered a case against Ravi Mahaseth, the managing director of cryptocurrency platform CoinZx, along with his associates, for allegedly cheating investors. The accused reportedly provided investors with login IDs and passwords to a fake website, misleading them about their investments.
According to the police, the fraudulent website allowed investors to view fictitious investment details, creating an illusion of legitimate transactions. Investigations suggest that numerous individuals across the country may have fallen victim to this scam.
This incident underscores the importance of due diligence and caution for investors in the cryptocurrency sector. Authorities advise potential investors to thoroughly verify the authenticity and credibility of platforms before engaging in any financial transactions.
